      Fillers are added to rubber and plastic mixtures for various purposes. The introduction of fillers into elastomers allows for obtaining composites with very high strength. Fillers play a very important role in the case of synthetic rubbers, because the rubber obtained from these rubbers without the addition of fillers is unsuitable for use due to its very low strength.

      The basic filler in the rubber industry is carbon black.

      The most popular types are: N220, N330, N550, N772

      There are also non-carbon fillers in the rubber industry.

      Kaolin is a representative of this group.

      Kaolin is a hydrated aluminum silicate. Kaolin has strengthening properties and gives mixtures a high modulus and good tearing strength.

      OPTISIL PR 50 Calcined Kaolin is one of the best titanium dioxide fillers with excellent coverage and a higher degree of whiteness. It is designed specifically for cable and electrical applications where electrical resistance is highly required.
