VAE dispersions

Vinyl acetate ethylene (VAE) is a copolymer in which an ethylene mer is incorporated into the vinyl acetate chain. Depending on the ethylene content, polymers are available in the entire Tg cross-section (from -25 °C to +20 °C).

One of the best paint binders is the low-emission DA 371 with a film formation temperature MFT of 0°C and a high Tg.

DA371 emulsion, depending on the formulation, allows you to create a product with various degrees of gloss (from matte to glossy). The product is safe for indoor use and environmentally friendly (Eco-friendly, APEO-free). The main advantage of DA-371 is its resistance to scrubbing even for paints with high pigment content (high PVC). DA-371 is recommended for the production of latex paints because they have good blocking resistance.

The most popular applications include:

Low VOC interior paints

Paints from semi-gloss to semi-matte

Highly pigmented paints

Exterior paints

Structural plasters and coatings

DA371 is useful in the production of coatings where resistance to scrubbing, staining and changing weather conditions is required.

VAE dispersions are used primarily as a binder in the production of the entire portfolio of adhesives: wood adhesives (D4), packaging adhesives (food packaging adhesives), universal assembly adhesives with high resistance to water and alkalis, and two-component waterproofing.
